During the past three months, Tamar Village has been greatly blessed and have been touched by the generosity of the church and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us!
In April, Mercy Centre went through another “make-over” in the living halls. Tamar Village was given the opportunity to purchase new tables, chairs and sofa. This has been such a great blessing as it creates a cozy environment where all who walks into the Mercy Centre immediately feels loved, valued and at home.
In the month of May, a sewing workshop class was hosted for our trainees. During this class, our ladies learnt how to sew environmentally-friendly bags. It was such a joy to see all our trainees smiling as they continue to develop their sewing skills. At the end of the day, every single one of them left the room feeling proud of themselves and the new products that they had sewn. We, as Tamar Village, would like to thank all who had made this sewing class possible as we witnessed the transformation in our trainees as they grew in confidence.
Tamar Village would also like to share about the two new additions to our Tamar family. In March, one of our trainees had given birth to a baby boy; whilst one of the ladies that we reach out to gave birth in April to a baby girl. It is exciting to share this joy of new-borns with our ladies and we look forward to walking and serving their families. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who had supported Mini’s baby – be it through financial support, donation of baby items or prayers. We greatly appreciate all the love and support that we have received. And we are glad to say that her baby is growing up well, healthy and strong!
